This past week, I found myself reflecting on what it takes to build a visible and impactful career.
One person I’ve been following has shown me three powerful lessons:
-
Be visible: choose projects and stories that naturally reach beyond your own desk.
-
Be bold: seek out challenges that stretch what you thought you could do.
-
Be personal: share not only what you do, but why it matters to you.
I often default to working quietly, thinking that good work will speak for itself. But the truth is, if no one hears the story, the work risks going unnoticed. That’s something I’m determined to change.
What about you? What have you learned from watching how others build their careers?
